Heather Adams Joins Lee Board of Trustees

Heather Adams of Cape Coral has joined Residential Options of Florida (ROOF) Lee County Board of Trustees. Heather serves as the Vice President of Operations for Cushman & Wakefield. She brings over fifteen years of experience in commercial and residential real estate, making her a strong addition to the Board.

Heather serves as an advocate for people with developmental disabilities and has a strong interest in disability rights. Her care and concern stems from her experience with her dear friend’s daughter who had partial DiGeorge Syndrome.

“I am deeply honored to be a member of ROOF’s Lee Board of Trustees,” said Heather Adams. “I look forward to leveraging our network of donors, companies, foundations, and mission groups who along with our team, are all united in the desire to provide affordable and inclusive housing to individuals with developmental disabilities.”

Throughout her career, Heather has acted with fiduciary responsibility, protecting the interests of stakeholders and assets, while overseeing strategy, risk, and capital allocation.

“Heather’s professional expertise in real estate development, commercial lending, and connection to people with disabilities makes her a perfect addition to the ROOF Lee Board of Trustees,” said Sheryl Soukup, Executive Director of ROOF. “We are grateful for her leadership and look forward to what will become possible with her assistance.”

The Lee County Board of Trustees provides direction, oversight, and resources for ROOF’s activities in Lee County. All Trustees are responsible to attend monthly Board of Trustees meetings, actively support the fundraising activities of ROOF, and inform others about the work ROOF is doing in the community.

Heather will use her expertise to guide the local Board of Trustees in providing recommendations to the Statewide Board of Directors, who oversee all statewide activities. Her efforts to spread ROOF’s mission have already been recognized in the community as she fosters sponsorship donations including a $1,000 sponsorship donation from Cushman & Wakefield.
