Welcome: Audra Esper: Board Member Spotlight

Audra Esper is a photographer, videographer, and coach and a champion for individuals in her community with intellectual disabilities.

 

Audra is an active member and volunteer for the Collier County Special Olympics organization. In addition to coaching Stand Up Paddle boarding, basketball, and soccer, she also serves as a member of the Special Olympics Steering Committee. Audra is a mentor for athletes on the Collier County Athlete Leader Council and regularly assists with multimedia and marketing required for Special Olympics events.

 

As the videographer for Collier County Special Olympics, Audra has produced multiple films featuring programs, events, and initiatives. Her work was featured on NBC’s “Today Show with Kathie Lee and Hoda” when she submitted a video for a contest nominating a fellow Special Olympics coach for their selfless work.

 

Audra is an avid soccer fan and player. She earned a B.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland and was a four-year starter on scholarship for their women’s soccer team. After reaching the professional level for soccer, Audra got a job working as a crew member for Norwegian Cruise Line and sailed around the world.

 

Transitioning from ship to shore, Audra moved to the corporate office in Miami, where she learned more about the creation of multimedia content, learning to spread awareness, achieve company alignment, and effectively communicate to a broader audience.

 

In 2018 Audra moved to Naples with her husband and son and decided to focus full time on using her videography skills toward community projects. Audra is so excited to be the newest member of the Board of the Directors for ROOF Collier- a cause that has quickly become near and dear to her heart.
