Residential Options of Florida Awarded a $10,000 Grant from 2017 Angel Fund

(May 24, 2017 – Naples, FL) The Angel Fund held at the Community Foundation of Collier County recently awarded Residential Options of Florida (ROOF) with a $10,000 grant. The Angel Fund is dedicated to providing support for community-based human services and educational services in Collier County.

This award will support Residential Options of Florida in developing and overseeing the Collier County Housing Network. This network will connect local government housing professionals and nonprofit organizations providing housing and support services to individuals with developmental disabilities. These individuals and their families will have the opportunity to join the network to help create more affordable housing options within Collier County for individuals with developmental disabilities.

“Residential Options of Florida is grateful for the Community Foundation’s support,” states Sheryl Soukup, executive director of ROOF. “Collier County is home to approximately 2,000 residents with developmental disabilities. This project will help people with disabilities and their family members understand local affordable housing options and plan for the future.”
