ROOF Receives $2,500 Technology Grant from CFCC

Residential Options of Florida (ROOF) received a $2,500 grant from the Community Foundation of Collier County in support of technology for virtual education and case management. The funds will be used to purchase tablets to provide continuous safety and education for ROOF residents during COVID-19.

With the help from the Community Foundation of Collier County, ROOF’s residents will have the opportunity to work on their goals for independence and self-sufficiency with their case manager remotely. Residents will be able to expand their knowledge on the use of technology, as well as other topics of their choice, such as financial literacy, employment, self-advocacy, homeownership, and life skills, such as cooking, shopping, and gardening.

“Our residents have such diverse interests, and these tablets will allow them to explore some of those interests during these restrictive times.” said Sheryl Soukup, CFRE, Executive Director of ROOF. “We are so thankful for the Community Foundation of Collier County for their continued support.”
